Security-awareness training, built into your compliance platform

C1The Compliance One team4 September 2026

Almost every framework expects the same thing from your people: that they are trained, that they understood the training, and that you can prove both. ISO 27001 asks for competence and awareness. SOC 2 auditors want to see that staff completed security training. HIPAA expects workforce training. The requirement is everywhere, and the evidence auditors ask for is boringly consistent: who was assigned what, who finished, and a certificate to show for it.

So it is a little strange that most compliance platforms stop at the edge of this and wave you toward a separate training product. Now you have two tools that do not talk to each other, two bills, and a manual job every audit where someone exports certificates from one system and uploads them into the other. We thought that was silly, so we built the training in.

Your compliance platform already knows your frameworks, your people and your controls. It is the obvious place for training to live, and the worst place to leave a gap between two systems.

What the built-in LMS does

It is a full learning module, not a checkbox. In one place you can:

  • Assign framework-specific courses to staff, either by hand or with a rule that keeps a framework assigned to everyone automatically, so new joiners are covered without you lifting a finger.
  • Deliver the videos through a secure player that will not let a learner skip ahead, so a completion actually means they watched it.
  • Check understanding with quizzes. The questions are AI-drafted and human-approved before anyone sees them, with a pass mark you set.
  • Auto-issue a branded completion certificate the moment someone passes, and write it straight back to that person's training record so your evidence is always current.
  • Chase the stragglers for you. Due-soon and overdue reminders go out on a cadence you control, and the person who assigned the training gets notified when it is done.
  • See where you stand at a glance, with completion and pass rates broken down by framework and by department.
  • Keep it honest over time with recurring re-training, and un-assign someone who has left with a required reason kept for the audit trail.

Learners never need a platform login

Your staff are not compliance users, and making them create accounts is how training goes unfinished. A learner gets a secure link by email, signs in with a one-time code sent to their work address, watches, takes the quiz, and downloads their certificate. No password to reset, no seat to license, no IT ticket.

Why it is included, not an add-on

Because you are going to need it either way, and paying for it twice is not a feature. Training is part of nearly every framework you are already running here, the evidence lives naturally next to your controls and your people, and bundling it means one number covers it. There is no per-learner fee and no separate contract. If you want to keep an existing provider like KnowBe4, you can point the platform at it instead and we track the completions the same way. Native or external, the choice is yours, and either way it is in the one price.
